It is so sad to see that this rock has been painted over so many times because stupid people continue to write graffiti all over it. Now granted sometimes the graffiti is beautiful and really these people should be doing art somewhere productive - but honestly what is the point of this?
There is no point. Someone wanted attention. It makes me sick that some people feel the need to broadcast their presence to the world with garbage like this.

ReplyDeleteThis is a sad commentary on our society, that people feel no sense of remorse for destruction of property or nature. If they can buy a can of spray paint, surely they can buy a piece of canvas upon which to confine their art.
ReplyDeleteI feel rather ambivalent about graffiti. In urban settings, I often like the artistry. In natural surroundings, never.
ReplyDeleteI see graffiti all the time but have not been able to make myself photograph it. Why do people do this kind of thing? Art? Some is, but most isn't.
