We went into NYC yesterday to take the boys to see the Lion King. I was prepared to take many great shots of the city, but not prepared for how cold it was!! We were rushing a bit so I didn't get the shots that I wanted, anyway...in looking through my pictures I kept going back to this shot of Times Square. It is amazing how many ads are on buildings, cars, bus stops, everywhere! This is the first year that they are keeping the New Year's eve ball up you can see it just slightly.

Perfect image for the theme, Candy! Love this night shot! I am jealous - I would love to see the broadway version of Lion King! I did finally get tickets for "Cats" though! I am a musical junkie!! Hope you all had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI lovee all the neon flashing lights in Times Square at night - and you've captured the energy perfectly. Great photo for the theme.
ReplyDeleteCandy -
ReplyDeleteGreat picture and what a place to get that Theme right down to the smallest of signs!
Glad to see you had a great time in the city.
Great shot. That's got to be the ultimate in advertising.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot. I'd like to see a Broadway musical. We get to see some of the travel shows if they come to Phoenix. Lucky You
ReplyDeleteGreat shot for the theme, I thought that it covered everything but alas no Coca Cola ad, eerie.
ReplyDeleteEven though I lived in Manhattan when I was very small and grew up on Staten Island, it always astonished me that NYC could get so COLD! I'm glad you fingers were not so frozen as to prevent you from taking that picture. It really captures the essence of Times Square.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and lots of excitement going on.
ReplyDeleteOh, is that ever a terrific shot! Well done...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. It's past time for us to get to Manhattan to see our 3 grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteSuper shot! You've captured the essence of the theme and Times Square!
ReplyDeleteI love this and can only echo all of the above raves.
