47/365 Flags and Banners
This is an American Flag Afghan that I crocheted about 7 years ago. It is one of the very few blankets that I have kept and I really hope that I can pass it along to my kids. One little quirk in the pattern was that there are only 48 stars so I just don't let anyone look at it long enough to count! (Ron - there are 50 stars on the American Flag in case you needed to know in Australia.)

Boundless talent is almost inexcuseable, how do you live with your self, I celebrate Presidents day by trying to "Walk and Chew Gum at the same time"
ReplyDeleteCandy, how beautiful, not only do you take excellent images, you crochet beautifully! I bet your kids will be fighting over this one!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! How long did it take you to do this?? What a cool gift to try to keep for your kids.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to use the theme, Candy! Your craftsmanship is beautiful--both in your photography and in your handworked art.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful "flag" Candy! How do you find the time for all the things you do!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of a beautiful heirloom-to-be! I've crocheted small things, but something that size is a bit intimidating to me. OK, a LOT intimidating! Such a multi-talented soul you are!
ReplyDeleteJust tell people the pattern was made before Alaska and Hawaii gained statehood!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo of a priceless flag! I love your afghan. Having no aptitude for handicrafts, I'm very appreciative of the skill and patience it takes to make this.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of a very cool and beautiful thing. I like Sunny's description of 'heirloom to be'.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work Candy...and excellent choice for theme---> ya wanna make a Canadian flag next? *grin*
ReplyDeleteBeautiful afghan and photo.
ReplyDeleteWOW. great afghan
ReplyDeleteLove the way you photographed this and love your comment to Ron. I see, however, that it did prevent his (inevitable) witty comments!
